Le Centre D’Histoire VIVANTE
Centre For Living History
Greenwood is now closed for the regular season. Many thanks to all who joined us over the summer!
Please remember that we have two September events (Treasures in the Kitchen – Sept 16 & Seeing Stars – Sept 23) as well as our whole StoryFest line up later in the fall.
We hope to see you then!
The Greenwood Centre for Living History is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization, which has been preserving and maintaining the interests, stories, dreams and accomplishments of Phoebe Nobbs Hyde, its last inhabitant.
Greenwood’s is a layered history, told through a richness of historical documents, paintings and artifacts found within this multi-purpose house.
We invite you to tour this homestead and it’s beautiful gardens; explore our vintage garage or come for tea and baked goods on our porch. Your time spent at Greenwood is sure to stand still as you relax and enjoy this most unique environment.
Greenwood has several events planned for the 2023 season! There is something for everyone, whether you’d like to quietly paint in a secret stop on the property, partake in fabulous theater on our lawn, or share a delicious traditional tea complete with both sweet and savoury treats. These, along with our ongoing house tours and tea, will have you coming back to Greenwood throughout the summer. Check back often to see what great programs we have for you!
